Choice Picks: Peel and Land of Talk

So college life got me down this week, but here's a post about some good stuff we got in at the station.

First up is Peel, a great band out of Austin. One review I read of them said they sound like Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, but I'd put them closer to Spoon than I would CYHSY. They describe themselves writing ADD fueled pop songs. Either way, definitely worth checking out. Recommended tracks: Oxford, Sliding Doors

The next band of note is Land of Talk. The sound and vocals remind me of a less polished Metric. This album will get you charged up and be stuck in your head all week. Recommended tracks: All My Friends, Speak to Me Bones
